Privacy Policy

Overview

Photo Cleaner is an iPhone and iPad app from Badships (Suzhou) Digital Technology Co., Ltd. The app helps you review photos and videos in your Apple Photos library and clean selected items after your confirmation.

Photo Cleaner is designed to work locally on your device. It does not create user accounts, run ads, use third-party analytics SDKs, or upload your photos and videos to a Badships server.

Photo library access

The app requests read and write access to your photo library so it can show cleanup suggestions, thumbnails, estimated storage information, and review screens. You can grant full or limited access through iOS settings.

When you choose to delete items, the app asks Apple Photos to move selected items to Recently Deleted. When you choose optimization actions, the app may create an optimized copy and delete the original after confirmation.

Data processed on your device

To provide cleanup suggestions, Photo Cleaner may process the following information locally:

• Photo and video identifiers provided by Apple Photos.
• Photo and video metadata such as media type, creation date, favorite state, and estimated size.
• Thumbnails, screenshots signals, similarity signals, and cleanup grouping state.
• Temporary files used while optimizing Live Photos or compressing videos.

iCloud-backed items

If a photo or video is stored in iCloud and not fully available on your device, Photo Cleaner may ask Apple Photos to retrieve the needed resource for thumbnails, review, or optimization. This request is handled by Apple's Photos framework and your Apple account settings.

Local storage

Photo Cleaner may keep local scan snapshots, indexes, thumbnail cache entries, and optimization state on your device so the app can resume and update cleanup suggestions. Removing the app removes app-local data. Items already moved to Recently Deleted remain governed by Apple Photos.

No tracking or sale of data

Photo Cleaner does not sell personal information. The current app does not use advertising identifiers, third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or a Badships backend for photo upload or account storage.

Children's privacy

Photo Cleaner is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last updated.
